Adventure

The past few months God has really been preparing me for some big decisions.  A few months ago, during a devotional time he laid this on my heart...

You don’t need all the answers before you act and trust!

That was exactly what I needed to hear at the time.  I knew he was calling me but I didn't understand, I had lots of questions.  He just wanted me to step out in faith.

Recently my pastor started a series called Off The Map.  In my notes below from this series, you'll read…

“You don’t have to understand completely to obey immediately”

Sound familiar?

It’s crazy how God works in our lives, how much patience he has with us when we’re really stubborn.  I did act at first, and it was the beginning of a journey he’s still taking me on, but it wasn’t long before I started over thinking everything again and had a new list of questions.  I needed the reminder…

You don’t have to understand completely to obey immediately!

Right now I’m on an adventure and God is teaching me to trust on a new level than ever before.  He gives me one word at a time and I consistently want more.  I want it explained before I start chasing a dream that is out of reach.  But the truth is, these dreams have been birthed in my heart by him, and as big and crazy as they are, God is bigger!

Adventures are full of ups and downs, loses and victories, joy and pain, but that’s where you meet God in very special ways.  The joy of walking in his will is far greater than the destination.  Walking with him IS the adventure, don't miss it!

What’s your adventure?  What can you do today to step out in faith toward what God is calling you to?
